This project takes place in Lisbon, Portugal. Here in Portugual we have a departement in the governament dedicated to urban art that organizes these projects. Basicly the objective is to paint recycle bins like the one down here and make the city look more intresting than just some buildings and parks.
My idea was to make somthing funny and that people all ages but specially kids would like. So since my recycle bin is located in the neighborhood where I grew up I thouth about making a carachter from a kids movie, and a minion was the best choise because of the shape of the recycle bin. By the way I love to watch minions and draw them.
This style of recycle bins are traditionaly from lisbon and they are only for glass. I chose this one because it was the place where I grew up and because the area is beautiful. If you want to know where it is located click HERE.
